Work has begun to transform the garages at the historic Masters House into dedicated business makers workshops!
The project, which starts with the removal of the old garage roofs, will create three modern, sustainably built makers huts.
These workshops, complete with a kitchenette and toilets, will provide a professional base for artists, makers, and craftspeople aged 18 to 30 to launch and grow their businesses. This initiative is a key part of the £20 million Sheerness Revival programme, a major investment funded by the UK Government.
The programme aims to create new employment opportunities while improving health, education, and leisure facilities across the Isle of Sheppey. The new workshops will add to a thriving community of small businesses already based in the main Masters House building, which was refurbished following a £1.5 million council investment.
