Launch It Paisley Backs Openbook Analytics on Award-Winning Young EDGE Journey

Launch It Paisley is celebrating the success of Openbook Analytics after the innovative Scottish startup secured a prestigious Young Scottish EDGE award.

Founded by brothers and co-founders Andrew and Richard Menzies, Openbook Analytics is helping make investing clearer, simpler and more accessible for retail investors through its growing investment analysis platform. Their achievement at the Young Scottish EDGE Finals recognises both the progress of the business and its potential for future growth.

Through Launch It Paisley's business support programme, Enterprise Manager Rebecca McEwan has worked closely with Andrew throughout the Young Scottish EDGE application and pitching process, providing guidance and feedback at every stage.

Reflecting on the support he received, Andrew said: "Becca's feedback made a real difference at every stage of our Young Scottish EDGE journey. From the initial application through to the final pitch, her input was crucial for us winning."

The award marks a significant milestone for Openbook Analytics, which has grown considerably since its previous Young Scottish EDGE application.

Andrew explained: "When Richard and I applied last time, we had a prototype and an idea. This time we came back with a working product, 1,800 users, and paying customers. That progression felt good to stand behind."

The success of Openbook Analytics highlights the strength of Scotland's entrepreneurial ecosystem and the opportunities available to ambitious young founders building innovative businesses.

Andrew added: "What I didn't expect was the room itself. The other winners were building seriously impressive things. Walking out of that ceremony, I was reminded why Scotland is genuinely a good place to be building something right now."

He also paid tribute to the organisations and individuals who have supported the business since its launch. "Thank you to the Scottish EDGE team for what they do for early-stage founders. And to everyone who has supported Openbook Analytics since day one, it means more than you know."
